Are you ready for St. Patrick's Day speech therapy activities? I've got you covered with several fun ideas and freebies!
St. Patrick's Day Books
How to Catch a Leprechaun by Adam Wallace is a great story for speech therapy with fun pictures that are perfect for predictions, cause effect, and sequencing. The text features are all awesome because they highlight vocabulary with big, color fonts. Definitely, a must-have! I created this book companion for the book, it includes printables and Boom cards, so you’re ready for therapy with NO prep… and we all know that’s a win
For the little ones on your caseload, There Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover is always a winner! They get the best kind of giggles when feeding her! I like to use this activity to discuss vocabulary, sequencing, and describing.
St. Patrick's Day Crafts
This shamrock puzzle is a fun open-ended activity you can do! You can add articulation words or vocabulary to each of the pieces as they glue it back together. Find the full instructions here.
This rainbow craft is also super easy with some pre-cut strips of construction paper and shamrocks (I used the die-cut machine!).
You can't have St Patrick's Day without mentioning a pot of gold! This fun craft includes tons of vocabulary to target anything related to the holiday.
St. Patrick's Day Hands On Activities
My favorite part of doing St Patrick’s Day activities is all the rainbows! 😂🌈 This activity is one that I have used as a center and as a whole group activity. I let the kids pick out their words and glue them to the pot while practicing each one ten times. Find the March Therapy Toolkit here!
Break out the coins and glittery hats! In this article, I'm sharing how you can work on prepositions with the St. Patrick's Day theme!
