I’m back with more ideas for your language groups this week! In case you missed it yesterday, go check out what I did with my artic groups! So between my Pinterest finds and trolling TPT, I found TONS of freebie ideas with groundhog themes…check out some of the activities we are doing in my room…
- First of all, we had to talk about shadows. What is a shadow, how do you make a shadow, and why in the world do people care about groundhog shadows in the first place. I broke out my little lamp and we made shadows puppets on the wall and talked about Mr. Punxsutawney Phil. SUPER FUN!
- Next is an activity I did my kinders and firsties…this freebie is a little book that is about Groundhog Day from Growing Kinders…this is actually the second year I have used this booklet and it is a great resource!
- Cut & Paste Comprehension stories is one of my favorite activities from Peachie Speechie and she offers a free version just for Groundhog Day! You can snag it HERE.
- Last, but not least, synonyms! This is a great find cause I always need to work on synonyms with someone and I love having lots of different games to address this skill. I downloaded from HERE and laminated, then we reviewed the vocab and played memory.
Remember that TPT sellers LOVE feedback, so if you grab any of these try to leave some š
I hope these are some new finds you can use in your room! What else are you up to this week?

Thanks for these great ideas and links to the materials!
You’re welcome!
