Today I got the awesome experience of sitting at the car dealership getting my car serviced! Ok, not so much fun, but it gave me plenty of time to create an activity using some new clip art I got from My Grafico. This time around I am using cute sea animals in a game targeting irregular past tense verbs. This is one of those skills that really gets my kiddos with language impairments confused. I thought this would be a fun way to work on the goal, and get lots of practice! It is a card game, similar to the game I made for similarities and differences. Each student draws one card from the pile and names the past tense of the verb. If they are correct, they keep the card. If not, it goes back in the pile. I included some crab cards as penalties, which you can use or not. I uploaded just the card game HERE.
I also created a version that is for sale in my TPT store. It includes an ocean for each student to hold their cards that can be personalized, as well as a student recording sheet. This would work great for therapy homework or independent practice in the classroom.
Let me know what you think! Thanks for your support 🙂
